A. INTERNATIONAL MARKETING THROUGH TRADE MISSIONS

PSIA continues to promote the Philippines as the go-to IT Outsourcing destination. Strong partnerships with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the IT Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) bring us to several international events on an annual basis. The following events are some of the major lead-generating activities for member companies:

D. INFORMATION & RESEARCH

PSIA conducts industry surveys and studies that allow us to gather valuable information which is used to better determine software industry trends and demands. Careful analysis of the captured industry data has been pivotal in assessing the industry’s performance. It has enriched our understanding in areas of strength and effectiveness and has also helped to target improvement strategies where needed. PSIA-led reports/studies and other information from known research advisory firms are references made available to member companies.

E. BUSINESS LEADS

As the recognized organization of software companies in the Philippines, PSIA serves as the main liaison between foreign investors and the local IT/software community. In line with this, all potential business leads generated from international trade missions, business matching events and other sources are shared with PSIA member companies in order to help them find business partners and/or clients.

F. PSIA COMMITTEES & SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIG’S)

  • Capability Development Committee

The Capability Development Committee handles industry related talent development and thought leadership projects.  Current programs include: Enablement Seminars (ES), Expanded Learning on IT    Services (ELITES) Training, Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) and Skill Standards for IT Professionals (ITSS).

  • Ethics & Membership Committee

The Ethics and Membership Committee is in charge of driving membership growth while also retaining existing members through various initiatives such as General Membership Meetings and CEO Roundtables.

  • Information & Research Committee

The Information and Research Committee gathers, prepares and provides relevant industry data and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

​

  • Technical Council

The Technical Council is a group of technical industry experts who assist with accreditation, curriculum development, faculty training and various IT/software industry advocacy projects.

  • Marketing & Events Committee

The Marketing and Events Committee is in charge of both association and country marketing/branding while also promoting PSIA’s initiatives.

  • SPRING.ph Committee (Software Products Incubation Group)

The SPRING.ph Committee serves as an industry platform that nurtures, encourages, educates and supports the needs of Filipino software start-ups while also working towards establishing the Philippines as a center for software product creation, innovation and commercialization.

  • Japan Market Group

The Japan Market Group is centered on promoting business partnerships between Philippine based IT service companies and Japanese firms.

​

  • Government Relations Committee

The Government Relations Committee is in charge of representing the association (PSIA) at government forums while also serving as an advocate on matters that concern the IT/software industry.
