As the recognized organization for software by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), PSIA conducts accreditation procedures to ensure that the scholarship vouchers and training subsidy for software development trainings provided by TESDA go to the right training institutions.
The PSIA Accreditation is a procedure to check a training institution's capability to conduct a training in a specific Programming language. It aims to make sure that training institutions are guided by the correct curricula, use and execute proper courseware and materials, and provide quality training through knowledgeable and highly-capability trainors. It also aims to prevent fly-by-night and illegitimate training providers.
Currently, there are four Accreditation Panels which are composed of technical experts in several programming areas:
- Java Panel
- .Net Panel
- Cobol Panel
- Oracle Panel
Requirements for Accreditation:
1. The training institution must be registered first with TESDA if it aims to avail of the scholarship vouchers and training subsidy that TESDA provides.
2. The training institution must submit the following:
- Copy of training curiculum
- Copy of courseware
- Copy of assessment exams given to students
- Profile and/or Curriculum Vitae of trainor/s
3. The training institution must subject its trainor/s for a phone or in-person interview to be conducted by the members of the technical panels.
Upon accreditation, the Training Institution and its trainor/s will be issued corresponding Certifications. No fee is collected from anyone who wishes to get PSIA-accredited.
